Rhinoplasty is an aesthetic surgery performed to eliminate the deformities in the nose and make the nose compatible with the face. Rhinoplasty is the most frequently applied type of aesthetic surgery among all aesthetic surgeries. The nose is made proportional to the face by reducing or enlarging the nostrils and nasal skeleton with rhinoplasty. Rhinoplasty not only removes the deformities in the nose, but also eliminates breathing problems caused by nasal congestion.
In order to perform rhinoplasty, the formation process of the tissues on the face must be completed. Therefore, it is a prerequisite that the patient who will undergo rhinoplasty must have completed 16 or 17 years of age depending on his/her development status. It is also a requirement that the patient in whom rhinoplasty will be performed does not have a health problem to prevent surgery.
The duration of rhinoplasty varies between 2.5-3 hours depending on the nasal structure of the patient in whom the aesthetic surgery will be performed. There are many different surgical techniques in rhinoplasty and the surgical techniques to be applied vary according to the structure of the nose.
The patients are discharged on the same day if there is no other request from the aesthetic surgery specialist. Since the nose will become sensitive after the operation, the nose should be protected with a protective plaster for a minimum of one week to protect it from external factors.
A protective band-aid is applied to the nose to resolve swelling or bruises that might occur due to the removal of protective plasters on the nose. It is also useful to apply a gentle massage to the nose for a certain period of time in order to facilitate the adaptation of the nose to the face.
Before rhinopasty, the patients are pre-examined and the type of nose aesthetic treatment is determined. The treatment process, which should be continued after rhinoplasty, is shared with the patient in detail. After the treatment process is completed, patients are closely followed-up.
