With ageing, osteoporosis, sarcopenia and fat melting occur and sagging of skin is increased. Skin elasticity in the skin of the arm is caused by genetic factors as well as ageing.

As the melting of the skin and subcutaneous tissues accelerates, gravity begins to pull the skin more quickly, and the sagging in the arm becomes more apparent. Skin sagging is eliminated with arm lift surgery.

Arm lift surgery can be performed alone or in coordination with other body aesthetic surgeries. The patients are discharged on the same day unless there is any other situation after the arm lift operation which lasts 1-2 hours on average depending on the patient’s condition.

Smoking should be stopped four weeks before arm lift surgery, and no cigarette should be smoked for at least two weeks after surgery. Arm lift surgery cannot be performed when a patient hasĀ  common cold or an infectious disease. Insuch a case, the operation is postponed.

After arm lift surgery, regular dressing is applied to the area where the surgery is performed. After two weeks of treatment, surgical sutures are removed.
